Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand market penetration.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve the company's annual sales budget.

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

Understand customers' business needs and objectives.

Manage the current sales programmes with existing customers.

Liaise with other departments to guide a unified approach to customer service, distribution, etc that meets market demands.

Effectively communicate to customers the company's value proposition through proposals and presentations.

Plan and organise marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications, etc.) and ensure they project the company's uniqueness.

Negotiate and close sales contract agreements with customers.

Lead nationwide sales officers to achieve sales targets.

Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggests improvements.

Monitor cost in relation to prevailing competition, and if necessary, adjust the price of selling.

Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.

Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with customers' needs.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.

Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.

Conduct market analysis and get relevant information on competitors.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Possession of MBA qualification will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 years' sales management experience, with at least 3 years in Senior Sales management position in the Agro-Allied industry.
  • Experience in starch and related products industry, preferred.

  • Knows how businesses work and how organisations make money.
  • Knowledge of industry business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in the English language. Ability to speak and write in any two (2) major local languages will be an added advantage.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
