Manager – Virtual Nursing

Job Description:

  • Manages the daily operations of the virtual nursing program to ensure service quality and patient safety
  • Serves as a working leader by actively participating in virtual nursing tasks as needed
  • Supports leader in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of virtual nursing workflows, policies, and standards
  • Monitors program metrics and outcomes, and adjust strategies based on performance data
  • Recruits, hires, onboards, and manages virtual nursing staff
  • Designs, coordinates and maintains orientation and ongoing competencies for associates while ensuring educational requirements are up to date to reflect current practice standards
  • Monitors performance and provides coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
  • Ensures compliance with licensure, regulatory, and credentialing requirements for associates and virtual practice
  • Acts as a liaison between nursing leadership, physicians, IT and administrative stakeholders to align virtual care strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing- RN
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing- RN
  • 3-5 years of General nursing or clinical practice
  • Preferred: Progressive leadership
  • Demonstrated skill in personnel management and interpersonal relations
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and maintain relationships with individuals and groups of people toward accomplishment of work and organizational goals
  • Demonstrated knowledge of staffing, scheduling and productivity standards
  • Skilled in negotiating with and between individuals and groups of people, including associates, management and providers
  • Ability to plan schedule tasks, projects and to maintain control of own and others' workflow
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing long-range plans and programs
  • Must consistently demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in comprehension of educational theory and practices
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel) and experience with hospital scheduling systems.
