We actively engage in discussions on career growth and work with team members to understand how personal passions and strengths connect with our purpose.</p><p><span>Fixed Income Risk Management</span></p><p>You will partner with the fixed income businesses to deliver independent risk oversight, risk advice, and provide quantitative analysis to assist with portfolio construction, performance measurement, product design and investor engagement.</p><p></p><p><b><span>Key Responsibilities</span></b></p><p>This role focuses on delivering rigorous, data-driven risk oversight and portfolio construction support by partnering closely with senior risk managers and portfolio managers. The emphasis is on employing quantitative techniques, particularly regression analysis and related statistical methods to assess exposures, identify risk drivers, and inform investment decision-making.</p><ul><li><p>Function as the primary risk manager for some of BlackRock’s Fixed Income portfolios across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)</p></li><li><p>Partner with investment teams and senior risk managers to deliver independent oversight and quantitative support for portfolio construction and investor engagement.</p></li><li><p>Conduct regression-based analysis and other statistical techniques to assess portfolio sensitivities, performance attribution, and risk factor exposures.</p></li><li><p>Lead regular risk reviews, scenario analysis, and stress testing to evaluate market impacts.</p></li><li><p>Translate sophisticated analytical findings into actionable insights for portfolio managers and senior leadership.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to research on markets, portfolio construction, and the risk environment.</p></li><li><p>Maintain awareness of financial markets and industry developments to contextualise risk-taking.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with peers across RQA to improve risk frameworks and contribute to the development of junior talent</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Qualifications</span></b></p><ul><li><p>3+ years of experience in a buyside risk or investment-focused role.</p></li><li><p>Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, computer science, economics, engineering).</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of fixed income products, credit instruments, and investment styles.</p></li><li><p>Experience with factor models, stress testing, scenario analysis, and performance attribution.</p></li><li><p>Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and influence portfolio decisions.</p></li><li><p>Established coding skills (e.g., Python, R); understanding Aladdin is beneficial.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Liability Driven Investment strategies and CFA/FRM designation is a plus.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Our benefits</b></p><p></p><p>To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of employee benefits including: retirement investment and tools designed to help you in building a sound financial future; access to education reimbursement; comprehensive resources to support your physical health and emotional well-being; family support programs; and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.</p><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Our hybrid work model</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
