Job Description:​ ​The Human Capital Department is seeking a Human Capital Administrator to assist in the hiring, recruiting, and talent acquisition of our growing team. This individual is responsible for overseeing hiring and recruiting processes across many departments, assisting the Human Capital Director in the process of phone screening all candidates, onboarding new hires, documentation upkeep, I-9 compliance, communication with candidates, and responding to LinkedIn and direct messages. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting in employee recognition projects and fulfillment, organization of recruiting platforms, creating job descriptions, completing reference and background checks, seeing the hiring process from start to finish, email correspondence, and new hire checklists. Note that this position requires a high level of competency, integrity, and confidentiality above all. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work individually and collaboratively, pay close attention to detail, and be highly organized.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of professional HR or recruiting experience;
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills (you need to LOVE being organized and have the ability to effectively communicate with anyone);
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and take a large number of calls daily;
  • Effectively reports updates and progress to leadership in a timely manner;
  • Ability to use discretion when handling confidential information;
  • Knowledge of Google Drive (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.);
  • Must be a “Team Player” who thrives in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of responsibilities;
  • Passion for the values of Turning Point USA, conservative ideals and principles;
  • Passion for hiring and recruiting for positions of all skill levels;
  • Must maintain a strong work ethic and be goal-oriented;
  • Self-starter and self-motivated;
  • Our ideal applicant is punctual, very responsive, and great at time management;
  • High integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and confidentiality;
  • Demonstrates the physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 15 lbs;
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to locations as needed.

  • Experience as an on-campus ambassador, recruitment, HR, admissions, working with confidential information, etc;
  • Previous involvement with Turning Point USA or another conservative non-profit;
  • Proven knowledge of best practices of hiring and recruiting;
  • Previous experience working with confidential information;
  • Attended a previous TPUSA event and/or previous involved in a chapter.
