Engineer Specialist

This role is responsible for implementing manpower and systems projects to reduce operating expenses, increase revenues, and improve customer service.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures that operating plans comply with safety and legal standards
  • Participates in special staff support projects
  • Prepares management information systems to aid in the control and development of district, region, and corporate goals.
  • Involves maintaining communication between operations and corporate departments
  • Provides technical expertise relating to facility requests, including lease termination, new location, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification.
  • Monitors productivity, service, and cost performance in all areas of operations and assist in implementing required changes.
  • Provides technical training to field personnel in various areas such as operations, manning, MIS, contingency planning, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and manpower scheduling.
  • The incumbent will also prepare and monitor long-range plans regarding expansion, staffing, equipment, GSE, and products in operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or a related quantitative discipline required.

Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.

Minimum Experience

Three (3) years of experience in information analysis, systems analysis/implementation, and project management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong analytical skills for operational analysis to determine productivity, budgeting, equipment, planning, etc.

Project management skills.

Knowledge of safety, regulatory and legal standards.

Technical and operational knowledge with the ability to train.

Long range planning skills.

Operational systems knowledge.

Strong communication skills to work with leadership and facilitate training.
